This is one particular knife indeed. A little marvel of ingenuity! Really an odd piece. I’m tempted to say it’s a “must-have”. So what’s so special about this one? Who might need this type of knife and what uses is it the most well suited to?
We have here a folding pocket knife with interchangeable blades. That’s right, just like a razor or a scalpel. Thanks to a little button on the handle you can release the blade and replace it with a new, fresh, and sharp one. With this knife, you’ll never need to sharpen again. And it’s foldable so really easy to carry in your pocket. It has a pocket/belt clip however like with most knives, I don’t recommend ever using that. Pocket clips are the best way to lose a knife.
Also good to know, there are different blade types/lengths (replacement blades of different types) depending on what you’re doing with it: gutting or boning or filleting. There’s a 3.9″ gutting hook and a 5″ long blade for filleting. Though only the 3.5″ straight edge will fit in the handle when folding the knife. Another big advantage of the removable blades is the sharpness. It is pretty much as sharp as a scalpel all the time. You won’t ever need to sharpen again, just switch the blade, and your good to go!

According to me, this knife is best suited for outdoors, camping, and trekking. In those situations having a sharp blade is particularly important, and sharpening in the fields is not always an option. It also comes in very handy for butchering your game if you’re a hunter. Although, if you only plan on butchering, I think you’ll be better suited with the fixed blade option.
It is however not a good EDC knife for the urban environment. I’m all about having a knife at work, even in a corporate job, but this one is just not suited for that.
So give this knife a try. It’s a neat concept and pretty inexpensive at that. Grab yours here: https://amzn.to/3nONJ1u
That’s my time for today, see you soon 😉
